Today was a very unexpected day which I thought would go one way but went the compleat other ! I thought I was doing a tour with the hostel but I booked for next monday by accident ooopsie doobsie. so I got kicked off haha. BUT in my dispare I was going to go out by myself but I found friends I made earlier In the week – Mary and Joespeh (not from the bible) who have hired a car and they were with another guy who happened to be English (first English person I have met ! ) and we had an amazing day !
We went to Lanikai beach which is meant to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Oahu, you can only really get there by car so I’m so grateful I found these guys it was such an amazing brief encounter. And wow it was so so beautiful !! There were all these little stringy jelly fish a man kept coming in and taking them out haha.
After lunch we went to the botanical gardens, a place I have always wanted to go I was so excited !
After this it was around 5 and we got back to hostel got ready and left for the latern memorial service ! This only happens once a year and hasn’t happened since 2019. I felt so privileged to have witnessed it ! It was stunning https://youtube.com/watch?v=aScH0MTBWIo&feature=share

I’m hoping that as I read on then See the Light from Tangled is going to be on the karaoke, but I think that’s unlikely. What a great idea. Perhaps we could have a Lancaster festival on the lake in Williamsons Park. I volunteer you to organise it.
