San Francisco – Day 3 (25/05/23)

Woooo day 3 let’s goooo. You know what it feels like I’ve been here for a long time, I can’t believe it’s only day 3 ! Any wayyyy

Keep waking up around 7 and writing the blog in bed (which is probs why there is so many mistakes – but I did warn about this haha)

At 8 I got ready face timed Mum for a bit ! X
Made eggs with Cristina and had breakfast. A few more people joined too was very lovely

My plan today was a big old tour its called ‘the perfect day in San Francisco’ and its supposed to take you to all the major spots. It provided ! Was such an amazing day.

Thé tour started at 10 and guide got us all to introduce ourselves and there was 4 scousers and a Glaswegian couple ! Small world ! Who knew I would be talking about Rangers and Celtic and Everton and Liverpool all this way out hahah

Started by going on a cable car to Nob hill. You can imagine the reaction that got from the British folk hahah. Was so much faster than I thought !

The tour guide christopher was like 71 with Hollywood hair haha he kept flicking it. It was so funny the lady next to him with gray hair said she was also from San Francisco but wanted to come and see her own city. The whole way through she was trying to get her two pennies worth in and we felt sorry for the tour guide coz she was stepping on his toes a bit haha . She was literally rounding us all up too ahha. BUT TWIST ! At the end she left and the tour guide told us she was his BOSS and doing an inspection. Wow that blew my mind. That was some real m night shyamalan shenanigans

Get ready to see some very awkward photos of me. Everyone was getting photos and I think they wanted me to have some, so people were like go on I’ll take a photo of you haha
He got us all a cookie – super Cute. I still need to open these ! Maybe in airport

Then got a buss to a square where we were let free for lunch. The Glaswegian couple turned to me and said ‘where would you like to go, we want to buy you lunch’ I couldn’t believe it YET AGAIN proving people from Glasgow are just wonderful. I tried to deny it and he kept saying ‘you should know better, we’re from Glasgow it’s what we do’ 😂

So we went to Tony’s ! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THIS !!!! Literally bigger than my head hahaha. Had some lovely conversations with this couple. He also naught me a beer too. Was such a taisty pizza ! 9/10 !
Went to the windiest road ! You can’t really tell here though haha. He said the houses here cost 5 million dollars !

I was stood in front of this wall and the tour guide said ‘so this is California’s bird’ and I said ‘aw thank you it’s an honour’ hahaha the British people got it . But he meant the parrot, I did think it was a little soon to be heralded as California’s bird- maybe one day

So many really old arcade games it was so cool !! I could have spent ages in here. I saw Julia andrews do this game in Princess Diary’s so I had to do it. I put it on medium weight nearly got my arm taken off. Even light weight was difficult ahhaha. This video I thought would have been me looking really cool and strong but alas.

Got on a boat tour ! The Liverpool lady’s hat fell off into the water and everyone was crying laughing saying a sea lion will have it on next hahaha.
Found out the Liverpool lot are catching the same flight as me to Hawaii tomorrow !!! small world. They wanted to buy me a drink too. Everyone has been so kind to me today, they said they had kids my age which could be the reason. But felt so looked after !

Then the tour ended around 17:40 and I walked back to my hostel

Two friends i made during the week found out that Beach Weather (a cool band) were playing an intimate gig for really cheep. I actually know some of there songs too so I was so happy !!!

I got ready and left !!

Wow what a day !! Went to bed around midnight fast asleep so fast ! Big day tomorrow ! Cannot wait , San Francisco has been just amazing !

  4. this seems the most packed episode so far. I cannot believe how much they pack into that tour. I do love a good cable car museum.. It’s really amazing how nice people are, I guess we forget sometimes that the world is mostly full of good with only a few idiots.
